Job summary

Evercare is seeking a Regional Nursing Consultant to provide clinical leadership and oversight for assigned skilled nursing facilities, ensuring high-quality resident care, regulatory compliance, and adherence to nursing standards and resident rights. The role travels regionally to support multiple facilities.

You will implement facility policies, verify clinical documentation, and lead training and evaluation of nursing care practices, with regular regional travel up to 75%.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of nursing management experience.
• Active, unencumbered RN license in the applicable state.
• Strong knowledge of professional nursing standards, restorative care, and long-term care regulations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure facilities comply with organizational policies and state/federal regulations.
• Interpret and reinforce company policies and clinical standards.
• Conduct quarterly clinical audits of resident records, medication rooms, and QA/QAPI interventions.
• Participate in care conferences as requested or as clinically indicated.
• Perform comprehensive assessments for potential residents as needed.
• Provide ongoing clinical education, training, and support to nursing staff.
• Review eMAR to ensure medication room compliance.
• Conduct monthly supervisory visits to medication passers (where RN delegation is allowed).
• Monitor wound care practices for appropriateness and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor supply usage and ensure ordering aligns with facility needs.
• Attend meetings and collaborate with leadership and interdisciplinary teams.
• Review incident reports and ensure proper reporting and documentation.
• Assist with hiring, training, scheduling, and supervision of staff.
• Address complaints and support timely resolution.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
