Job summary

Geisinger is seeking a senior Risk Management and Patient Safety leader to oversee programs across the Northeast Region, including GCMC and GWV. The role requires an RN license, at least five years of clinical experience, and leadership experience.

A Bachelor's degree is required; BSN is preferred. In this role you will guide safety initiatives, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive performance improvement.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• Minimum five years of clinical experience.
• Minimum one year of supervisory/leadership experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree required; BSN preferred.
• Knowledge of quality improvement, patient safety, PA reporting requirements, and healthcare performance metrics.
• Experience in quality management, patient safety, accreditation, risk management or performance improvement preferred.
• Familiarity with event reporting systems, root cause analysis, and performance improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of Risk Management and Patient Safety programs for the assigned region.
• Partner with leaders to enhance quality and promote patient safety.
• Support Geisinger Community Medical Center (GCMC) and Geisinger Wyoming Valley (GWV).
• Act as Patient Safety Officer for assigned locations; ensure compliance with regulations.
• Lead staffing plans, recruitment and performance evaluations for the department.
• Contribute to development of Clinical Risk Management and Patient Safety programs.
