Job summary

Merck is seeking a Growth and Improvement minded Regional Medical Scientific Director (MSL) in Inflammatory Bowel Disease Immunology. The role engages scientific leaders, shares medical information, and aligns with GMSA strategy.

You will drive scientific exchange, support investigator-sponsored research, and lead site discussions across the Southern-Midwest region with up to 50% travel. This is a field-based leadership role in Medical Affairs.

Qualifications

• PhD/MD-equivalent terminal degree required.
• Proven immunology expertise in IBD with strong dialogue skills.
• Ability to lead scientifically and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Develops professional relationships with national/regional SLs.
• Addresses SL inquiries and guides external collaborations.
• Maintains current knowledge of AOI and disease science.
• Supports protocol concepts and investigator-initiated studies.
