Job summary

Merck seeks a seasoned Regional Medical Scientific Director (MSL) in Inflammatory Bowel Disease Immunology to advance scientific exchange and support company priorities. You will engage SLs, discuss non-product scientific topics, and align activities with GMSA strategies.

Role requires PhD/MD-level credentials and at least 3 years of relevant Immunology experience beyond your terminal degree. Travel up to 50% is expected, with remote work flexibility available.

Qualifications

• PhD/PharmD/DNP/DO/MD required for regional leadership in Medical Affairs.
• Three years of relevant Immunology (Inflammatory Bowel Disease) experience beyond the degree.
• Excellent stakeholder management and strong communication skills.
• Knowledge of FDA, OIG, HIPAA and other pharma regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develops professional relationships with national and regional SLs to share approved medical information.
• Conducts peer-to-peer scientific discussions and maintains medical contact within the company.
• Addresses questions outside scope (grants) per policy.
• Keeps current with dynamic scientific environment in Areas of Interest.
