Job summary

Merck is seeking a Regional Medical Scientific Director specialized in Cardiopulmonary & Pulmonary Hypertension. This credentialed expert engages in scientific exchange, supports data generation, and builds peer relationships with investigators and leaders in the medical community.

The role drives strategic priorities, requires residence within the defined Southwest US territory (AZ, NM, UT, NV) and involves travel; remote work arrangements are supported to enable collaboration with Health

Qualifications

MD, PhD, PharmD or APP in Pulmonary Hypertension required.
3+ years in biotech/pharma or healthcare environment.
3+ years clinical/research in Cardiovascular & Pulmonary or 5 years as Medical Science Liaison (MSL).
Strong interpersonal, communication, networking and presentation skills.
Deep therapeutic competency and knowledge of Cardiovascular & Pulmonary sciences.
Established network with scientific leaders, investigators, and clinical leaders.

Responsibilities

Develop peer-level relationships with national, regional and clinical practice scientific leaders to address scientific needs.
Provide scientific support for data generation activities including trials and ISP.
Represent the R&D division at scientific meetings and debriefs; communicate insights to HQ teams.
Facilitate scientific exchange and translate data into actionable insights for strategy.
