Job description

Travel: Up to 50% across four Western US operations, with significant site presence

Compensation: Strong package reflecting regional scope and technical responsibility

Take Your Mine Planning Expertise Regional

Step beyond a single-site engineering role and become the trusted technical resource across a strategically important Western region. You'll have the autonomy to shape mine planning across four operations, influence site leadership and make decisions that directly support long-term reserves and operational performance.

  • Strong compensation package reflecting the scope of the position
  • Full-time, senior individual contributor opportunity with significant regional visibility
  • Current company benefits expected to remain in place through 2027
  • Career opportunities within a significantly larger organisation following a recently completed transaction
Why This Business

Join a major materials and mining organisation at an important point in its growth. Following a recently completed transaction with one of the largest building materials businesses in the US, operations are moving forward with continued investment in technical capability and the potential for broader long-term career opportunities.

The West Region represents a significant share of material movement, making this a highly visible engineering position with genuine operational influence.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Lead regional and site mine planning across four operations, ensuring robust plans, schedules and long-term reserve visibility.
  • Guide site engineers and operating teams, setting planning expectations and providing technical direction without formal line authority.
  • Translate operational, geological, survey and cost data into safe, practical and economically sound mine designs and investment decisions.
  • Build credibility on site through regular field presence, proactively identifying issues and influencing regional and operational leadership.
What You'll Bring
  • Strong surface mining experience with proven ownership of mine planning and broad mine engineering fundamentals.
  • A relevant engineering, mining, geology or technical degree, or equivalent proven industry experience.
  • Practical knowledge across production, blasting, mine design and technical analysis, with the ability to apply engineering principles operationally.
  • Strong stakeholder influence and communication skills, with the independence to lead technical activity across multiple locations.
Who This Suits

You're a well-rounded mining engineer who wants to be close to operations rather than behind a desk. You combine technical credibility with the ability to build relationships, influence site teams and follow through on commitments.

You're ready for regional responsibility, enjoy working independently and genuinely want the travel and site exposure that comes with supporting multiple operations.
