Job summary

KEMET Electronics Corporation, a YAGEO Group company, seeks a Regional MES Manager for the Americas. This onsite, full-time role leads MES strategy, operations, and project delivery across U.S.

and Mexico plants, driving digital transformation, system stability, and 24/7 production traceability. You will partner with manufacturing, quality, engineering, and supply chain to standardize MES and enable continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the regional owner of MES platforms in the Americas, including ownership of the regional MES roadmap, governance, and team leadership across U.S. and Mexico sites.
  • Ensure high availability, performance, and support of MES systems for 24/7 manufacturing operations.
  • Manage regional MES project portfolio, including new plant deployments, system upgrades, business enhancements, and manufacturing digitalization initiatives.
  • Partner with manufacturing, quality, engineering, and supply chain teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
  • Coordinate resources across multiple sites to ensure successful project execution and operational support.
  • Drive MES standardization and best practices across Americas facilities.
  • Work closely with Global MES teams and IT leadership to align regional activities with global MES strategy and roadmap.
  • Lead incident, problem, and change management processes to minimize production disruption.
  • Ensure compliance with company IT standards, cybersecurity policies, SOX requirements, and operational procedures.
  • Support team development through coaching, mentoring, and performance leadership.
  • Manage vendor and external partner engagement to support project delivery and operational excellence.

Job Summary

KEMET Electronics, a YAGEO company is seeking a Regional MES Manager for the Americas. This role is located in the Simpsonville, SC location and is an onsite position. The Americas Regional MES Manager is responsible for responsible for the overall Manufacturing Execution System (MES) strategy, operations, and project delivery across all manufacturing sites in the Americas region (U.S. and Mexico plants). This role provides leadership for regional MES teams, ensuring system stability, high availability and performance for 24/7 operations. This role is critical in planning & executing corporate MES strategy and digital transformation, improving manufacturing efficiency and production traceability in the regional plants.

Key Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to travel within the Americas region as required.
  • Proactive thinking and initiative in execution.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of ISA‑95 standards and manufacturing system integration.
  • Experience with SAP/Oracle, SCADA, PLC, and IoT integrations.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with cloud‑native architectures and container platforms such as OpenShift or Kubernetes.
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Industrial Engineering, Automation, or related technical field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience supporting manufacturing systems in a discrete manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience managing technical teams.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience with enterprise‑scale MES platforms in a large manufacturing organization.
