Job summary

The South Carolina Department of Probation, Parole and Pardon Services is seeking a Mental Health Supervisor to oversee MH Agents across Berkeley, Charleston, Dorchester, Georgetown and Horry counties. Office location is to be determined, on-site.

Under the MH Program Manager, the supervisor will lead first-line supervision, training initiatives, and coordination of MH events while fostering professional relationships inside and outside the department.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree with at least 15 semester hours in social or behavioral science courses and experience in probation and parole work.
• An associate's degree and two years of military or certified law enforcement experience may substitute.
• A high school diploma and four years of military or certified law enforcement experience may substitute.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line supervision to a team of MH Agents.
• Maintain professional communication networks inside and outside the Department.
• Schedule and coordinate MH meetings and MH events; assist with training and program staff development.
• Promote public relations within the assigned county/region.
