Job summary

Oakmont Management Group seeks a Regional Memory Care Specialist to oversee memory care programs across communities in Southern California, with frequent travel. You will work with Directors to ensure policy adherence, regulatory compliance, and high-quality resident care for early to late-stage memory loss populations.

The role requires demonstrations of leadership, training, and budgeting skills, plus travel readiness and a strong background in dementia care.

Qualifications

• Must be eighteen (18) years of age.
• Min. 2 years as a Traditions Director or equivalent in a similar field.
• At least 2 years working with persons with dementia and 1 year in a management/leadership role.
• BA/BS in gerontology, psychology, social work, or related field, or 4 years experience in related settings.
• Ability to speak at public events.
• Must meet CA DDS minimum qualifications of a dementia trainer.
• Must have or be willing to obtain RCFE Administrator Certification.
• Pass a DOJ Criminal Background Check.
• Must have a clean driving record.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Adapt to change and stressful situations positively.
• Motivated and able to work independently.
• Decision making, task prioritization, and time management.
• Knowledge of budgeting, programming cost, labor, scheduling and HR/hiring.
• Experience training, coaching and mentoring.
• Strong event organization skills.
• Collaborate well with diverse stakeholders.
• Understand Oakmont Programs Standards, procedures, and policies.
• Maintain energetic, flexible demeanor.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and online apps.
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination or valid exemption as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting and onboarding of new Directors.
• Support Traditions Directors through retraining and coaching as directed by leadership.
• Conduct Traditions Program Audits and follow up per guidelines.
• Ensure Oakmont Traditions policies are followed in all communities.
• Participate in policy and procedure development in collaboration with leadership.
• Assist in new community openings including team hiring and program setup.
• Contribute to development of Oakmont Programming standards and related projects.
