Armor Health seeks a Regional Medical Director to lead our clinical team and uphold the highest standards of patient care in correctional settings. You will guide medical strategy, ensure regulatory compliance, and partner with the Chief Medical Officer to implement evidence-based protocols.

The role requires physician leadership, rigorous governance, and hands-on oversight of medical staff, with emphasis on staffing, training, and quality improvement to deliver consistent, excellent outcomes.

Qualifications

• MD/DO license active in the US.
• Board certified in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Emergency Medicine.
• Current DEA license.
• CPR certification.
• Experience leading clinical teams in correctional healthcare.
• Proficient with electronic medical records.

Responsabilités

• Oversee medical care for facilities within the designated region, ensuring compliance with federal and state correctional health care standards.
• Follow policies, procedures, QA, safety, infection control standards.
• Communicate performance standards to Medical Directors in the region.
• Implement policy and protocol defined by Chief Medical Officer.
• Meet with CMO to discuss quality of care and develop best practice protocols.
• Set staffing levels and ensure appropriate training for scope of service.
• Provide Medical Directors with guidance in supervising medical staff including Physicians, PAs, and NPs.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the management, oversight, adherence to federal and state correctional health care standards and institutional regulations and guidelines in the provision of medical care for the facilities within the designated region
• Follow established policies, procedures, continuous quality improvement, and safety, environmental, and infection control standards
• Communicate performance and service standards and expectations to Medical Directors within the designated region
• Implement policy and protocol defined by Chief Medical Officer
• Meet with Chief Medical Officer about quality of care, policy, procedure, and records issues and develops best practice medical, clinical support staff, and process management protocols
• Participate in setting staffing levels in region and assures appropriate training for scope of service provided
• Provide Medical Directors with guidance in the supervision of the facility medical staff, including Physicians, Physician Assistants, and Nurse Practitioners

Qualifications

• Current state license as a MD/DO
• Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Emergency Medicine preferred
• Current DEA license
• Current CPR certificate
• Prior clinicalleadership experience in correctional healthcare setting preferred
• Proficient with electronic medical records
• Ability to pass pre-employment Level 2 clearance to include background check and drug screen
