Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Certificate 1 Medical Assistant Certificate required.
• 1-3 years related work experience required.
• Experience with computer systems including web-based applications and some Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access).

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and serves as a communication resource and information hub for providers and staff.
• Performs vitals, injections, phlebotomy and EKGs as needed.
• Maintains medical records and EMR updates per policy.
• Assists with patient records, lab slips, and chart preparation for visits.
• Identifies OSHA compliance issues and participates in practice improvement initiatives.
