Qualifications

• Experience in ambulatory care and clinical support workflows advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient rooming, intake, visit preparation, and clinical documentation workflows for routine and non-routine visits.
• Support complex clinic flow by anticipating provider needs, coordinating procedure preparation, and resolving workflow barriers.
• Perform and document point-of-care testing, specimen handling, medication support, and clinical tasks with accuracy.
• Review patient charts, care gaps, standing orders, and visit readiness to support efficient provider encounters.
• Support quality gap closure activities, care gap outreach, workflow pilots, and documentation improvements.
• Provide subject-matter guidance to newer staff on clinical procedures, EHR workflows, safety practices, and site standards.
• Investigate and resolve non-routine clinical support issues and equipment problems.

Job Description SummaryWe are excited to announce an opening for Regional Medical Assistant Floater (CMA/RMA) in our Venice Region! The Medical Assistant Floater provides advanced medical assistant support for clinical care delivery, patient flow, documentation quality, and care team coordination in an ambulatory care setting. Handles more complex clinic workflows, supports visit preparation and follow-up, resolves routine operational barriers, and contributes to quality improvement activities. Performs assigned work within scope of practice and under the direct supervision of a physician or other licensed provider.The Floater works independently on more complex assignments with limited supervision. Decisions impact patient flow, care team coordination, and recurring clinic deliverables within established protocols.
