Job summary

VIPcare is seeking a Regional Medical Assistant Float to provide clinical and administrative support across multiple clinic locations. You will prepare patients for examinations, assist with procedures, and support front office operations under a physician, PA, or APRN.

This role emphasizes compassionate patient care in a value-based model focused on preventive care. Travel within the region is required to ensure consistent patient experiences.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish required.
• 1+ year of Medical Assistant experience in a physician practice preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification current or obtained within organizational guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and prepare for examinations by obtaining history and information in the EMR.
• Measure and document vital signs and clinical observations.
• Prepare exam rooms and assist providers during examinations and procedures.
• Explain treatment plans and follow-up care to patients.
• Administer medications and immunizations as directed and permitted by state regulations.
• Perform phlebotomy and CLIA-waived testing; conduct in-office diagnostics.
