Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or medical assistant diploma from an accredited program.
• One year of recent medical facility experience as a medical assistant; externship accepted.
• Gastroenterology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care, rooming, collecting specimens, vital signs, and preparing for exams.
• Handle clerical tasks: scheduling, records, insurance verification, charting, interoffice communications.
• Travel between offices and provide patient education.
