Job summary

Sweetwater Care is seeking an experienced MDS Resource nurse to lead quality improvement and regulatory readiness across facilities in the Denver area. This role provides expertise, leadership, and support for organization-wide initiatives and guides implementation of the facility’s Quality Measurement and Performance Improvement program.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Registered nurse with active licensure in the state practicing.
• Three (3) years of experience in nursing administration as Director of Nursing and/or supervision in a health facility.
• Five (5) years of experience working in long-term care facilities or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Three (5) years of experience working in leadership for healthcare, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducts facility reviews including mock survey visits to assess compliance with local, state and federal regulations and company standards.
• Creates systems and process redesign, implementation of evidence-based practices, quality improvement and performance management.
• Translates broad strategies into specific objectives and initiatives and allocates resources accordingly.
• Collaborates with clinical leaders to improve clinical effectiveness and patient safety.
• Facilitates patient safety activities and leading multidisciplinary improvement teams.
• Develops policy and processes for quality improvement and performance management.
• Oversees Joint Commission readiness and liaison with external regulatory bodies.
• Guides senior management on performance issues and culture of quality and safety.
