Job summary

Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) is seeking a full-time Great Lakes Material Resource Director to oversee programming, volunteers, and budget for the Goshen Material Resource Center and MR programming in the Great Lakes region.

You will supervise the regional MR team, coordinate material resource processing for shipments, and represent MCC in speaking engagements with donors and partners; travel throughout the region will be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in organizational management, communication, or related degree.
• 3-5 years relevant experience in volunteer coordination, management, or non-profit work.
• Good organization, administration and leadership skills; ability to set vision and carry out strategic plans.
• Extensive experience working with volunteers of all ages and group sizes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Computer proficiency (MS Office, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to relate to people from a range of backgrounds, cultures, ages, and theologies.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with little supervision but also able to be accountable to larger organizational goals.
• Commitment to the mission of Mennonite Central Committee.
• CPR certified or willingness to be trained.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license with acceptable driving record and eligible to be an MCC authorized driver as defined by policy, insurance, and legal requirements.

Responsibilities

• Volunteer coordination and donor/church engagement responsibilities as part of program leadership.
• Leadership and administrative duties including budgeting, planning, and team supervision.
• Supervise MR team members and participate in MCC GL leadership activities.
• Develop and coordinate donor/church engagement strategies and volunteer recruitment.
• Coordinate with partners and manage logistics for material resources processing and shipment.
