Ideal candidates bring a Bachelor's degree with 5+ years in business development or furniture sales, proven leadership, and strong negotiation/presentation skills, within a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and at least 5 years of relevant experience preferred; or at least 9 years in new business development or the furniture industry.
• Demonstrated success in developing a strategic direction in the assigned market.
• Ability to lead a sales team and train others in a fast-paced environment with energy, integrity and results orientation.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Experience in the office furniture industry or related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop, plan, and implement the market strategic plan to maximize HON's market share.
• Recruit and develop a high-potential sales team; foster collaboration and accountability.
• Coordinate market-focused selling activities and targeted marketing communications.
• Outline business development opportunities including target accounts and vertical market support.
• Manage market programs and promotions and resolve market conflicts with dealers and HON sales team.
• Coordinate training events with HON's Training Department.
• Meet quarterly with distribution partners to ensure long-term profitable growth.
