Job summary

Akers Packaging Service Group in Middletown, OH is seeking a Regional Controller to lead accounting and financial analysis for multiple Midwest facilities. You will drive month-end close, consolidate results, and provide decision support to leadership and GMs while advancing a new BI system and ERP transition.

The role emphasizes ownership, collaboration, and building a strong internal control environment, with a focus on GAAP compliance and process improvements across the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 7+ years of relevant financial experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with cost and inventory accounting.
• Experience leading and developing a team.
• Knowledge of GAAP, accounting principles, and financial regulations.
• Experience with ERP systems/upgrades and streamlining accounting processes.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel experience (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, SUMIF, modeling).

Responsibilities

• Ensure month end close for multiple locations.
• Consolidate plant results and support leadership with analysis on revenue, margin, and spending.
• Perform discrepancy and variance analysis on revenue, margin, and spending and provide decision support.
• Review results, WIP, and financials with GMs and Corporate Controller; complete annual budget by division.
• Fixed asset tracking and management.
• Expense integrity and analysis to ensure accuracy.
• Responsible for inventory management and physical inventories.
