Job description

Horner & Shifrin is seeking a full-time Transportation Regional Manager for our O'Fallon, IL office. This position requires 10+ years of experience. This position is responsible for managing projects, leading project teams and team members, developing engineering solutions, and delivering a thorough and comprehensive end product. Additional responsibilities include interactions with clients, development of relationships, and tracking of potential projects.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

• Interact and communicate with clients, vendors and staff of all levels
• Ability to lead, manage and schedule staff to meet project needs
• Track multiple projects simultaneously to keep jobs on schedule and under budget
• Perform transportation engineering analyses and calculations
• Prepare and write engineering and other reports
• Coordinate and write responses to project solicitations
• Maintain and develop strong client relationships
• Develop business in the Illinois region
• Field visits on rough terrain per project needs
• Other duties as assigned

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Experience working directly with the Illinois Department of Transportation and local municipalities
• Licensed professional engineer in Illinois
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Excel, Word)
• Experience using at least one CADD platform (MicroStation or AutoCAD)
• Knowledge of at least one highway design package (OpenRoads, Geopak, or Civil3D)
• Critical thinking and analysis
• Must possess a valid driver's license
• Must complete a background check

B.S. in Civil Engineering

SALARY RANGE

Horner & Shifrin, Inc. offers a comprehensive total rewards package and is committed to fair, competitive, market-based compensation. The target salary range for this position is $115,000 - $190,000. Compensation for the successful candidate will consider the candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, and geographic location.
