Purpose: Maintenance leaders ensure the safety of their assigned schools through regular maintenance and repair of facilities, equipment, and vehicles as requested by corporate and school management. They provide leadership to maintenance staff reporting to them. This role supports multiple states: Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois.

Essential Duties:

1. Perform repair and maintenance on assigned schools, ensuring adherence to government and licensing codes.
2. Supervise and lead the maintenance team.
3. Coordinate with school and corporate management to ensure timely completion of work.
4. Promote teamwork among peers, subordinates, and management teams.
5. Audit and report any observed repairs or maintenance needs to the supervisor.
6. Attend or lead meetings as requested.
7. Assist in setting up new facilities and closing old facilities.
8. Deliver and store supplies from the warehouse.
9. Purchase maintenance supplies following company policies and procedures.
10. Be available for emergencies, including weekends and evenings.
11. Use computerized maintenance logs and email to document work and daily activities.
12. Operate ethically within the company's mission and values.
13. Maintain confidentiality and meet leadership objectives by aligning with company directives and communicating plans for projects.
14. Promote and communicate Children of America's mission and values to coworkers, customers, and the community.

Other Duties: Maintenance personnel may perform additional duties as assigned by the Vice President of Facilities Management and other corporate management.

Supervision: Reports directly to the Vice President of Facilities Management. May supervise other maintenance staff.

Work Experience: Minimum of 5 years in related fields such as drywall, painting, plumbing, HVAC, electric, plus at least 3 years in a supervisory role.

Education: High school diploma (GED) required. Associates Degree in a related field preferred.

Other Requirements: Ability to use Outlook and document management software. Willingness to travel to schools as assigned.

Working Conditions:

Physical Demands: Ability to stoop, kneel, bend, reach, lift up to 75 pounds, climb ladders, and work on rooftops.

Mental Demands: Regular attendance, with hours potentially exceeding 40 hours per week.
