Position Summary

The Regional Maintenance Manager supports and works in conjunction with the Market Area Managers, Division Managers, and Maintenance Managers in the evaluation, selection, repair, and maintenance of fleet equipment, including yellow iron and installed equipment used for daily operations. The role provides leadership, training, and ensures the maintenance staff across the region has the tools and resources necessary to support the safe and efficient operation of equipment for our locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinates with the Region VP and Area VPs to create, improve, and execute policies.
  • Provides training and development opportunities to motivate and create opportunities for all employees.
  • Coordinates and ensures completion of maintenance activities with Maintenance Managers within the Western Region to maximize operational efficiency and minimize unscheduled downtime.
  • Ensures safety compliance and completion of maintenance to standards set by federal, state, and company guidelines; maintains and continuously improves a Preventative Maintenance Program across the footprint; inspects equipment maintenance needs through auditing.
  • Develops objectives and standards of performance for projects within the Maintenance Department to meet departmental, divisional, and corporate goals.
  • Ensures all maintenance-related documentation meets or exceeds state, federal, and company policy expectations.
  • Builds and leads regional training efforts, ensuring professionalism and organization.
  • Manages procurement strategies to create cost savings and guides Maintenance Managers, Division Managers, and Market Area Managers with maintenance budget preparation.
  • Establishes and maintains high-level communication throughout the region, guiding major maintenance projects and the implementation of systems such as computer-based maintenance systems.
  • Leads and manages team members by setting clear goals, coaching, and providing training opportunities.
  • Participates in training to expand knowledge of the company, products, sales, and services, and performs other duties to support company vision and values.
  • Ensures compliance with all policies, regulations, and laws regarding employment and safety.
Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, at least 10 years of leadership experience, 10-15 years in operations, and be able to travel regularly. A valid driver's license and legal eligibility to work in the US are required. Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, effective negotiating skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are essential. Excellent communication and leadership skills are also necessary.
