Job summary

WinnCompanies is seeking a Regional Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations across multiple properties in the Oakland, CA region. The role requires regular travel and on-call availability to support sites and ensure Winn standards are met.

You will oversee performance, uphold safety and regulatory compliance, manage budgets, and coordinate with property managers and contractors to deliver timely, high-quality maintenance across communities in Oakland, Berkeley, and Alameda.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 8-10 years of relevant work experience.
• 5-8 years of supervisory / managerial experience.
• Strong background in preparing for NSPIRE and TCAC inspections.
• A current driver's license in good standing and ability to meet driving records standards.
• Travel 4 days a week to properties in Oakland, Emeryville and San Pablo.
• Experience with web-based applications and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced office environment.
• Ability to work with a diverse group of people and personalities.
• Strong communications skills with stakeholders and direct reports.
• Excellent leadership skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in small teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance operations across properties.
• Maintain curb appeal and building interior & exterior to Winn Standards.
• Review building systems for proper operations.
• Ensure all site logs are kept and unit turnovers are completed to Winn Standards.
• Ensure Customer Service & Work Orders are completed in a timely fashion.
• Review WOPR report and act on findings.
• Complete annual maintenance audits.
• Oversight of contractors and recommendations.
• Ensure seasonal maintenance & snow removal is completed safely and timely.
• Participate in hire, fire, and discipline decisions with management.
• Provide training for maintenance personnel.
• Review Open Position Report with site manager to fill positions quickly.
• Respond to emergencies on site, including fires and floods, after hours.
