Job summary

7-Eleven, Inc. in Los Angeles seeks an RMTI FuelTrainer to develop and deliver technical training for field technicians supporting fuels systems and forecourt equipment.

You will train on installation, diagnostics, troubleshooting and repair, ensuring safety, regulatory compliance and smooth rollout of new technology across stores.

Travel up to 50% to onsite trainings and field deployments, collaborating with store teams and vendors to maintain high reliability of fueling operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in retail fuelsystems and forecourt equipment.
• Certifications in Gilbarco Veeder-Root and/or Wayne Fueling Dispensers.
• Veeder-Root tank monitoring systems and POS platforms (Verifone or Passport).
• State-specific fuelsystem certifications as required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver structured technical training programs for new and existing technicians.
• Conduct field training, ride-alongs, and hands-on system demonstrations.
• Train on installation, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of fuelsystems.
• Develop and maintain training materials, SOPs, and job aids.
• Ensure technicians understand regulatory and safety compliance requirements.
• Evaluate technician performance and identify skill gaps.
• Support rollout of new technologies, equipment, and system upgrades.

Position Summary

TheRMTI FuelTrainer is responsible for developing and delivering technical training programs for field technicians supportingfuelsystems and forecourt equipment. This role ensures technicians are proficient in installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and compliance offueldispensing systems, tank monitoring, and POS integration within retailfueling environments.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum 5years of experiencein retailfuelsystems and forecourt equipment
• Certifications in:
  • Gilbarco Veeder-Root (GVR)and orWayneFueling Dispensers
  • Veeder-Roottank monitoring systems

Technical Knowledge & Expertise

The Trainer must demonstrate strong working knowledge in:

  • Leak detection systems and monitoring requirements
  • State and local compliance standards

Key Responsibilities

Work Environment

• Combination of classroom instruction andfield-based training
• Travel required50% of the time for on-site technician support and regional training

Pay Range: $34 to$42 Per Hour

Pay: $21.00 -$36.75 Hourly
