Job summary

Patriot Rail Company in Mississippi is seeking team members to inspect, service, and repair diesel locomotives and related electrical systems. The role emphasizes safety and reliability in a hands-on environment, with travel regionally up to about 20% to support multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting experience.
• Strong focus on safety and quality workmanship.
• Valid Driver's License (CDL preferred).
• Ability to work outdoors and in a hands-on industrial environment.
• Railroad, diesel engine, heavy equipment, automotive, military, or industrial maintenance experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, service, and repair diesel locomotives and electrical systems.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and perform corrective repairs.
• Complete FRA-required inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Maintain brakes, traction motors, engines, fuel systems, and other critical components.
• Ensure locomotives operate safely, reliably, and efficiently.
• Travel regionally (approximately 20%) to support multiple locations.
