Job summary

Saia is seeking qualified truck drivers to operate various tractor trailer combinations over long distances. You will deliver freight safely, maintain logs, and comply with DOT procedures across regional routes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Valid CDL Class A with hazmat, tanker and twin trailer endorsements.
• At least 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience.
• No DUI/DWI or license suspension in past 3 years.
• No chargeable accidents or serious traffic violations in past 6 months.
• Able to lift up to 100 pounds and work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Drive tractor trailers to deliver and pickup freight between terminals and customer facilities.
• Travel regionally and cross-regionally with single, double, or triple trailers.
• Follow pre-trip, post-trip, and billing procedures and safety protocols.
• Inspect equipment and adhere to DOT guidelines.
• Maintain logs and load-related paperwork.
