Job summary

Saia LTL Freight in Knoxville is seeking qualified tractor-trailer drivers to deliver and pickup freight regionally and cross-regionally. You’ll operate single, double, or triple trailers and follow DOT safety and billing procedures.

This role requires a valid Class A CDL with hazmat, tanker, and twin trailer endorsements, at least 1 year of verifiable experience, and availability for nights, weekends, and holidays. Saia offers comprehensive benefits and competitive pay based on experience.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with hazmat, tanker, and twin trailer endorsements.
• Minimum 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• No DUI, DWI or license suspension for moving violations in past 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Drives tractor trailers to deliver and pickup freight between company terminals, customer facilities, or meeting points.
• Travels regionally and cross-regionally while pulling single, double, or triple trailers.
• Follows established pre-trip, post-trip, freight handling, and billing procedures.
• Conducts inspections by following safety and quality control procedures.
• Hooks, unhooks, and assesses equipment per DOT guidelines.
• Maintains records, logs, forms, and load-related paperwork.
