Job summary

Chubb is seeking a strategic Life Sciences Team Leader to drive profitable growth and talent development within the Life Sciences Southeast Region. You will oversee underwriting and portfolio management, strengthen marketing and agency relationships, and mentor sales and marketing skills across the team.

Leading four underwriters, you will guide underwriting strategies, manage P&L for Life Sciences in the New York Region, and ensure quality through audits while building strong client connections

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of Property & Casualty underwriting experience with leadership exposure.
• Prior management experience strongly preferred.
• Understanding of middle market P&C products and life sciences exposures.
• Strong knowledge of distribution strategies with brokers, regional and independent agents.
• Excellent technical and underwriting leadership to manage a team of underwriters.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills with customer focus.
• Ability to build strategic relationships and drive results.

Responsibilities

• Lead an underwriting team of four professionals.
• Oversee P&L accountability for Life Sciences in the New York Region.
• Execute underwriting strategies for middle market underwriting and renewals.
• Serve as a technical underwriting resource with specialists.
• Monitor underwriting quality via audits and referrals.
• Cultivate key relationships within life sciences and conduct client visits.
