Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with at least eight years of senior experience in business, economic development, or policy administration.
• Master’s degree with ten years of related experience preferred.
• Executive Director must reside in the region.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of a Western NC regional life sciences economic development framework with short-, medium- and long-term goals.
• Build and engage an Advisory Committee with members from industry, academia, government, economic development and partners.
• Collaborate with internal teams to drive programs, investments and job creation across the region.
• Oversee the regional office’s annual budget and resource planning.
