King County Library System (KCLS) seeks an Operations Manager for the Fairwood Library. The role focuses on daily library operations, strong customer service, incident handling, and leading a team of staff and volunteers to deliver public services across multiple Cedar region libraries.

The OM will supervise represented staff, manage complex schedules, coordinate with departments, and uphold Intellectual Freedom principles within the library environment.

Formación

• Experience supervising staff and managing operations.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to handle challenging situations.
• Ability to build and maintain staff schedules respecting Collective Bargaining Agreement requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Serves as building manager with primary responsibility for safe, efficient daily operations and scheduling.
• Promotes inclusive and equitable library environment; handles incidents per conduct policies.
• Acts as primary contact for volunteers, vendors, and community groups; collaborates on policy implementation.
• Implements regional communications as part of the management team and coordinates with ITS/Facilities.
