Job summary

SmartSource is seeking a Technical Specialist focused on LED technology for regional events. This role conducts on-site technical execution and supports sales with expert proposals, working across general sessions, trade shows, and other environments.

The position emphasizes collaboration with Project Managers and fulfillment teams, maintaining high-quality deliverables and efficient event logistics. A pathway toward broader project management is envisioned.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in the event industry, including hands-on project execution.
• Strong background in LED technology and AV applications.
• Experience configuring, networking, and troubleshooting computers, printers, and related hardware.

Responsibilities

• Operate independently in LED technology area after completing internal certifications and field validation.
• Support the sales team by preparing accurate, technically sound proposals within their area of expertise.
• Provide on-site technical execution for events, ensuring quality and consistency across deliverables.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Technical Leads, and fulfillment branches to align technical execution with event goals.
• Assist with event logistics including labor coordination, equipment packaging, rentals, and freight services.
• Troubleshoot and resolve AV and IT-related issues during setup and execution.
• Maintain open communication with Account Executives and Project Management staff.
