CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Substation Protection & Control Engineer | Regional Technical Leader to lead technical and organizational aspects of our Power and Energy practice. You will guide high-voltage P&C projects, act as a technical authority for protection, relaying, SCADA integration, and automation, and mentor engineers across multiple offices.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; PE license preferred.
15 years of related experience in power delivery or substation engineering.
Domestic travel up to 10% or less is required.
Travel flexibility and willingness to work across multiple offices.

Responsibilities

Lead the design, delivery, and technical execution of high-voltage substation protection and control projects.
Serve as technical authority for protective relaying, control systems, SCADA integration, and automation.
Develop and review protection and control engineering deliverables (schematics, wiring diagrams, relay settings, panel layouts).
Lead power system studies, protection coordination, equipment selection and related analyses.
Mentor engineers and designers; recruit and develop talent; ensure project profitability and client satisfaction.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for commissioning, testing, and startup activities.
