Job summary

Traffic Planning and Design, Inc. Career Center in Harrisburg and Pittsburgh area offices seeks a Senior Structures Project Manager/Team Lead to oversee highway structures projects and mentor the Structures Design Department.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years of experience, a Pennsylvania PE license, and a proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and business development activities. This role demands teamwork, reliability, and a drive to deliver quality results.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in highway structures or similar engineering fields.
• PA Professional Engineer license is required.
• Experience with PennDOT and/or PA Turnpike projects is preferred.
• Experience with municipal, county, and city projects is a plus.
• Prior roles as Project Manager or Highway Task Leader.
• Willing to attend marketing events and work across teams.
• Strong work ethic and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• MS Office proficiency; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Project Manager for highway structures projects (bridges, culverts, retaining walls, etc.).
• Mentor Structures Design Department staff.
• Prepare workload and budget projections.
• Lead business development activities including meetings with agencies and professional societies.
• Review RFPs and assess project pursuit strategies.
• Prepare Statements of Interest, Technical Proposals, and Price Proposals.
• Manage project schedules and budgets.
• Conduct Quality Control and Quality Assurance Reviews.

Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Serve as Project Manager for highway structures projects (bridges, culverts, retaining walls, etc.)
• Manage and serve as mentor to Structures Design Department staff

Job Requirements

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Valid Driver’s License.
