Job summary

TPD in the United States is seeking a Senior Structures Project Manager/Team Lead to oversee highway structures projects from our Pittsburgh or Harrisburg offices. The ideal candidate has 15+ years of experience and a Pennsylvania PE license, with a track record mentoring staff and delivering multiple projects.

You will manage workloads, budgets, and schedules, and participate in business development including meetings with agencies and proposal development.

Responsibilities

• Manage highway structures projects (bridges, culverts, walls) from start to finish.
• Lead Structures Design Department staff and allocate workloads.
• Prepare workload/budget projections and monitor schedules.
• Engage in marketing meetings with agencies and attend industry events.
• Review proposals and develop technical and price proposals.
• Oversee quality control and assurance reviews.

Duties And Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

• Serve as Project Manager for highway structures projects (bridges, culverts, retaining walls, etc.)
• Manage and serve as mentor to Structures Design Department staff
• Prepare workload and budget projections
• Perform Business Development activities including attending marketing meetings with various agencies and attending professional society events
• Review Requests for Proposals and perform assessment of project pursuit strategies
• Prepare Statements of Interest, Technical Proposals, and Price Proposals
• Manage project schedules and budgets
• Conduct Quality Control and Quality Assurance Reviews.

Job Requirements

• 15+ years of experience
• Pennsylvania PE License required
• Previous experience with PennDOT and/or PA Turnpike projects
• Experience working on municipal, county, and city projects is a bonus
• Served as a Project Manager or Highway Task Leader
• Willing to attend marketing events
• Strong work ethic and ability to work on multiple projects and ability to meet multiple deadlines
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Valid Driver’s License.
