Job summary

Mars Regional Laboratory seeks a Regional Consultancy & Audit Senior Scientist to deliver client‑centric laboratory consultancy and governance services across the region. You will advise development centers and factories on experimental design and data interpretation, and manage lab escalations and external collaborations.

The role requires strong communication, crisis management, and collaboration with regional clients, with up to 30% global travel to audits and field visits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of technical laboratory background in food testing methods, across matrices
• Strong knowledge of quality and food safety analysis
• Experience in technical audits
• Familiarity with ISO 17025 requirements
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Fluent written and spoken English

Responsibilities

• Provide consultancy support to regional stakeholders with experimental design and data interpretation
• Identify external laboratories with capability for analysis not in current portfolio
• Manage escalation testing for crisis incidents
• Maintain knowledge of regionally required analysis methods
• Coordinate with MGS Global team for escalation of serious incidents and external lab feedback
• Contribute to lab governance through audits and CAPA follow-up
