Job summary

Novartis seeks a seasoned procurement lead to translate global category strategy into the US plan, drive sub-category sourcing, and deliver savings. You will manage strategic supplier relationships, implement KPIs, and oversee major contract activity while coordinating with business partners and divisions.

Your role requires strong communication with executive leadership and the ability to operate in a large matrix organization, including IT procurement, software, IT services and emerging tech.

Qualifications

• Requires 10-15 years of procurement or related business experience.
• Demonstrated ability to execute RFPs and drive strategic negotiations with suppliers.
• Experience leading Supplier Relationship Management (SRM).
• Experience in IT procurement, including Software, IT services and AI/Emerging technology (preferred).
• Ability to operate in a large, matrixed organization with stakeholder engagement.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with executive leadership.

Responsibilities

• Translate global divisional category strategy into US strategy.
• Lead the implementation of sourcing plans for the sub category and deliver sub-category savings targets.
• Provide input into segmentation and identification of key supplier relationships and lead business planning.
• Manage strategic sub-category supplier relationships and implement KPI metrics.
• Collect supplier information and deliver Procurement Balanced Scorecard metrics.
• Create and review major contracts for the sub category and ensure communication and application.
• Manage budget/resource allocation for the area of responsibility.
