Job summary

EO is seeking a Regional Internship Manager to strengthen Virginia’s economy by developing internships and managing the Innovative Internship Fund programs in Regions 1 and 2. Based in Radford, VA, you will travel 60-70% across the region, build partnerships with employers, educational institutions, and VEDP, and promote high-quality paid internships.

You will design internship programs, provide grant support, track outcomes in Salesforce, and collaborate with regional partners to expand

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business development, marketing, sales, employer relations, project management, or a related field with at least two years of relevant experience.
• Experience coordinating internship programs or similar workforce development initiatives.
• Strong networking, communication, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a regional strategy to identify, engage, and educate regional businesses on the value of internships.
• Collaborate with VEDP and partners to connect companies with internship programs and grants.
• Track program outcomes and manage grant processes using Salesforce and related tools.
