Haven Behavioral Healthcare, an Oceans Healthcare Company, seeks a Regional Intake Supervisor to support the Director in overseeing intake operations across multiple facilities. You will supervise intake clinicians and nurses, ensuring timely referrals and efficient workflow across the regional team.

Ideal candidates will have a bachelor's degree in a related field, 2+ years in behavioral health, and strong coaching, communication, and leadership skills to improve performance and patient care

• Two years experience in behavioral healthcare, crisis management, intake or inpatient psychiatric treatment preferred.
• Must possess CPR certification and Oceans approved de-escalation program.

The Regional Intake Supervisor assists the Director in the overall daily operations and performance of the regional intake team for multiple facilities within the designated region. This role is responsible for supervising the intake clinicians and nurses, ensuring timely response to referrals, and delegating tasks as needed. This role monitors performance metrics, staffing coverage, call quality, and overall workflow while providing strong customer service, multitasking, and communication skills in a fast-paced environment. This position must be able to report to any of the designated facilities in the region within three hours of notification when onsite leadership or support is required on assigned shift.

Essential Functions

• Provides leadership to the department and assigned shift as assigned.
• Monitors employee productivity and documents/address issues in a timely manner.
• Meets with employees to provide feedback/coaching on a routine basis.
• Acts as an educational resource to staff and assesses training needs.
• Maintains and organizes the daily workflow of the department.
• Conducts audits and assists with performance reviews.
• Assists the Regional Intake Director in evaluating performance improvement opportunities.
• Provides training and orientation to new Regional Intake employees.
• Participates in management meetings and completes daily reporting in absence of the Regional Intake Director.
• Demonstrates flexibility by working as an Regional Intake Clinician as needed during assigned shift
• Promotes consistency with admission processes and procedures across all assigned facilities.
• Completes other duties and initiatives as assigned.

Requirements

Education / Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Health, Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Human Services, RN or a related field required.
• Two years experience in behavioral healthcare, experience with crisis management, intake or inpatient psychiatric treatment preferred.

Qualifications / Skills

• Understands admission criteria for varying levels of care, medications commonly prescribed for treatment of psychiatric illness and community resources.
• Interprets medical clearance and is able to discern acutely medical inappropriate values and how they should be addressed to be able to consider for admission. Must possess interpersonal skills to develop rapport with presenting patient, family members and referral sources.
• Must be able to assess and interpret data about the patient's status in order to identify each patient's needs and provide appropriate referrals, including age related care and disability related care by Chronically Mentally Ill, Adult, Geriatric and Chemically Dependent patient populations.
• Must demonstrate knowledge of mental illness and chemical dependency and family dynamics which accompany them. Must have excellent communication skills related to age specific patient needs.
• Must be able to demonstrate proficient assessment skills.
• Must be versatile, flexible and able to perform in stressful situations.
• Must have good time management and organizational skills.
• Must be able to work with an array of mentally/physically disabled persons.
• Must be able to read, to write and to follow verbal and written instruction.
• Must be knowledgeable concerning DSM-V diagnosis.
• Must be able to delivers patient services in a respectful manner which promotes dignity and patient satisfaction.
• Must successfully complete CPR certification and an Oceans approved behavioral health de-escalation program.

Work Environment

• Subject to many interruptions. Occasional pressure due to multiple calls and inquiries. This position can be high paced and stressful; must be able to cope mentally and physically to atmosphere. This person might sometimes experience disagreeable odors, sights, and/or unpredictable patient behavior.
• Work requires remote position requiring confidential HIPAA compliant workspace. Required to have access to audio and camera capabilities via computer for meeting and other work duties as assigned.
• Some travel will be required to assigned facilities.
• Work requires spending approximately 90% or more of the time inside a building that offers protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
