Vanderbilt University Medical Center seeks a Patient Flow Center Coordinator to manage scheduling, admissions, transfers and consultations for emergent, urgent, and elective patients across the Vanderbilt Health system. Responsibilities include coordinating bed assignments, educating staff on level of care, and ensuring accurate EHR data entry while protecting PHI.

BSN preferred; RN licensure required; relocation stipends available for eligible new hires.

Qualifikationen

• BSN strongly preferred.
• RN licensure required.
• Minimum 5 years of nursing experience.
• Experience with patient flow or admissions is a plus.

• Coordinate admissions, transfers and consults for emergent, urgent and elective patients.
• Screen admissions for appropriateness of level of care and bed assignments.
• Educate nurses and physicians on level of care and admission processes.
• Proficiency in EHR data entry and protection of PHI.
• Adhere to departmental procedures and support final referral resolution.
• Assist with ongoing operations to optimize patient throughput.
