Job summary

STV is seeking a Regional Hydraulic Modeling Technical Lead to guide the hydraulic modeling team within the National Water Group in Texas. You will lead complex analyses, interact with clients, and deliver master plans and conveyance studies for water and wastewater systems.

The role requires a PE in Texas, 19+ years in hydraulic analysis, and strong communication to mentor staff and ensure project quality and delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
• Master’s degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering preferred.
• PE license in Texas or other state.
• 19+ years in hydraulic analysis and design for water/wastewater systems.
• Hydraulic modeling in steady state and EP simulations.
• Experience with listed modeling tools and ArcGIS Pro.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and direct hydraulic modeling on multiple projects.
• Interact with project clients and lead modeling teams.
• Mentor less experienced staff and ensure QA/QC of work products.
• Produce memoranda, master plans, and conveyance/storage analyses.
• Support scope, budgets and proposal preparation.

Job description

STV is seeking a Regional Hydraulic Modeling Technical Lead for our National Water Group to lead the hydraulic modeling team and support planning of water distribution and wastewater collection systems. The ideal candidate will have the technical expertise and collaborative skills to support complex modeling efforts, evaluate system performance, and develop effective infrastructure solutions while improving project quality and delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
• Master's degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related discipline preferred.
• Registered PE in the State of Texas or other.
• Minimum of 19 years of professional experience in hydraulic analysis and design, or related water and wastewater collection systems related to pressurized pumps/pipes.
• Hydraulic modeling experience in both steady state and extended period simulations.
• Technical expertise with one or more of the following is required: InfoWorks ICM, InfoWater, InfoWater Pro, WaterCAD, WaterGEMS, InfoWorks ICM, SewerGEMS, or other similar software.
• Experience with ArcGIS Pro is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prepare and deliver client presentations.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, and directs hydraulic modeling analysis and design on multiple projects with many complex features.
• Interacts with project clients.
• Leads collection system hydraulic modeling projects and programs. Preference to experience as model manager for large consent decree and wet weather-related programs for CSO and SSO reductions include large storage tunnels and storage tanks.
• Responsible for developing and mentoring less experienced staff.
• Performs hydraulic analyses, prepares hydraulic models, evaluates results, and summarizes results and recommendations to produce technical memorandums, master plan studies, conveyance analysis, storage analysis, and other water system improvement analyses.
• Coordinates production and/or provides QA/QC to ensure technical consistency and inclusion of appropriate documentation.
• Provides technical input/review of project deliverables.
• Supports scope, budgets and proposal preparation.

Compensation Range: $179,064.64 - $204,645.30
