Job summary

Sedgman is seeking an experienced Senior HSEQ Advisor to join our North American team, based in Phoenix, USA or Vancouver, Canada. You will provide practical HSEQ expertise from tender through execution and operations across the Americas.

Reporting to the Group Manager HSE, you will establish projects, conduct audits, manage risk, and coach project teams in Sedgman requirements while supporting governance and continual improvement of HSEQ systems.

Qualifications

• Degree, diploma or recognised qualification in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health and Safety, or a related discipline.
• 7+ years' HSEQ experience in construction, mining, mineral processing, heavy industry or another high‑risk environment.
• Experience operating at a senior HSEQ advisory or supervisory level.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior HSEQ advice and support to regional leadership and project teams across the Americas.
• Conduct and coordinate HSEQ audits, inspections, reviews and assurance activities across regional projects.
• Monitor compliance with legislative, client and Sedgman HSEQ requirements and close out findings and corrective actions.
• Support implementation and continual improvement of Sedgman HSEQ management systems, standards, procedures and tools.
• Provide incident investigation support and lessons learned communications.
• Travel to project and business locations across the Americas for establishment, assurance or short-term HSEQ support.
