Job summary

S.A. Comunale Co., Inc. seeks a Regional Health, Safety, and Environmental Professional to provide hands-on HSE support across active projects in the region.

This field-forward role involves walking job sites, engaging crews, and coordinating with foremen and project leadership to identify hazards and confirm controls are in place. The position requires travel across the region, strong communication, and practical coaching to reinforce safe work practices while supporting continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Supports health, safety, and environmental activities on construction sites in the region.
• Delivers field coaching, hazard recognition, and risk-informed decision-making to project teams.
• Escalates unsafe conditions and ensures compliance with HSE programs.
• Coordinates third-party testing or sampling when required.
• Documents observations and regional learnings for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Maintain field engagement by walking sites, observing work, and verifying hazards are mitigated.
• Provide coaching to PMs, supers, and foremen to strengthen planning and risk decisions.
• Escalate unresolved hazards through leadership channels.
• Coordinate regional HSE support activities and communicate findings.
• Identify trends across projects to support system-level improvement.
• Support field communications like toolbox talks and safety briefings.
• Review incidents and near-misses to support learning.
• Conduct safety observations and site inspections as needed.
• Document findings in the HSE reporting system.
• Develop an individual development plan with the HSE Director.
