Job summary

Extended Care is seeking an experienced Regional HR Consultant to deliver hands-on HR support across multiple facilities in Illinois, including skilled nursing and long-term care settings. You will guide leaders on employee relations, onboarding, investigations, and compliance while navigating union and non-union environments.

The role requires 2-4 years of multi-facility HR experience, strong communication, and willingness to travel regionally (50–75%).

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of progressive HR multi-facility experience in healthcare.
• Experience with both union and non-union environments.
• Travel 50–75% within Illinois region.
• Bachelor's degree in HR, business, or related field; SHRM-CP/PHR preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on HR support across facilities with on-site visits and remote support.
• Coach facility leaders on performance management and employee relations.
• Conduct investigations and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Support onboarding, offboarding, and training.
• Monitor union and non-union environments and advise leadership.
• Maintain HR documentation and case files.
• Identify HR trends and communicate with regional leadership.
