Job summary

Flynn Fitness Group LLC is seeking an HR Business Partner to lead HR initiatives across the Virginia market. You will partner with market leadership to align HR and Operations, while serving as liaison with the Flynn Support Center.

You will drive staffing, training, employee relations, and compliance, traveling regularly within Virginia to build relationships and implement programs that support gym staffing and engagement.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years related HR experience, preferably in similar role/environment with multi-units.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred and Professional HRCI or SHRM certification a plus.
• Demonstrates high integrity and high level of HR professionalism and expertise.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, changing environment with multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Build staffing partnerships with Operations to keep gyms fully staffed.
• Lead Manager Training and HR topics, expanding to people-centric modules.
• Visit gyms to assess employee engagement and culture.
• Manage employee relations, calls and emails; route to HR/Support Center as needed.
• Assist with succession planning, sourcing, and recruitment.
• Support with terminations, disciplinary actions, and performance documentation.
• Lead onboarding for new management and ensure compliance training.
• Stay updated on labor law and implement policy changes.
• Oversee HRIS processes, transfers, LOAs, background checks and reporting.
• Support offer letters for internal promotions or external hires.
• Manage background checks and driver compliance.
• Ensure performance reviews occur per timelines.
