Job summary

EarthWorks Inc. is seeking an experienced Regional HR Manager to serve as the strategic Human Resources Business Partner for our Texas operations, partnering with regional and branch leadership to align people strategies with business objectives.

The ideal candidate will drive payroll operations, influence leaders, manage employee relations, succession planning, and talent development, while balancing strategic initiatives with hands-on execution in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Admin or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive HR experience including multi-site operations.
• Experience partnering with operational leaders in decentralized environments.
• Experience managing payroll operations and wage/hour compliance.
• Proven ability to influence leaders and balance objectives with employee needs.
• Experience leading organizational change and coaching managers.
• Knowledge of employee relations, investigations, and employment law.
• Experience using HRIS and payroll systems.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary HR Business Partner for multiple Texas branches, providing strategic guidance and support to Branch Managers and operational leadership.
• Partner with leaders to improve organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, employee engagement, succession planning, and talent development.
• Own the regional payroll process, ensuring payroll is processed accurately, timely, and in compliance with company policies and wage/hour laws.
• Collaborate with Payroll, Finance, Branch Administration, Talent Acquisition, and Operations to resolve payroll issues and improve processes.
• Build strong cross-functional relationships to support operational objectives and improve business performance.
• Coach and influence leaders on performance management, employee development, organizational changes, and investigations.
• Identify operational challenges and recommend HR strategies to improve productivity and retention.
• Support staffing strategies by partnering with Talent Acquisition.
• Lead change management initiatives, policy implementation, and HR projects across the region.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws while minimizing risk.
• Analyze workforce metrics, payroll data, turnover trends, and HR reporting for insights.
• Travel throughout Texas up to 15% for branch support.
