Job summary

Granite Construction is seeking a Region HR Manager to partner with senior leadership and drive regional recruiting, employee relations, benefits, compensation, training and development, talent management and labor relations to ensure alignment with the company’s HR objectives and maximize engagement.

The role requires guiding policies, coaching managers on performance and investigations, promoting a high performance culture, and ensuring safety compliance across regional operations; bilingual

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR or related field or equivalent relevant work experience.
• PHR certification desired.
• Minimum 5 years HR generalist experience; construction industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional HR functions and educate management to align with company objectives.
• Guide on federal/state laws affecting hiring, retention, coaching and termination.
• Liaise between corporate and field on policies, rollouts, leave, and EEO.
• Coach managers on performance, investigations and employee relations.
• Identify and develop talent to meet current and future business needs.
• Promote high performance culture and safety initiatives.
• Travel 50% in regional office and 50% at field sites.
