Job summary

State of Michigan is seeking a Human Resources Regional Manager to plan and direct the region's HR services. The role supervises the Central Office, Field Operations Administration, Thumb Correctional Facility, and Ionia Area Correctional Facilities, including the Health Care Hiring Unit.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required.
Four years of professional experience, including two years equivalent to the experienced (P11) level or one year equivalent to the advanced (12) level.
Education level substitution: 14/15 level safety/regulatory or law enforcement experience may substitute for education/experience requirements.

Responsibilities

Plan and direct the region's Human Resources services.
Supervise Central Office, FOA Administration, Thumb Correctional Facility, Ionia Area Correctional Facilities, and Health Care Hiring Unit.
Liaise with the Civil Service Commission on classification and selection issues.
Report to the Human Resources Director and coordinate with Central Office and FOA Administrators.
Oversee statewide classification and selection activities.
