Silverado Hospice is hiring a Regional Billing Coordinator to support our Los Angeles and California operations. You will manage insurance verification, authorizations, eligibility, and end-to-end billing processes to ensure timely, compliant reimbursement for hospice services.

Qualificações

• High school diploma required; college coursework in business administration or a related field preferred.
• Experience with insurance authorization and verification processes.
• Billing experience preferred.
• Hospice experience preferred; palliative or supportive care experience strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and EMR systems.
• Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, standards, policies, and procedures related to billing services.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Must be comfortable working in an environment with pets (dogs and cats).
• Associates must have reliable transportation to consistently meet attendance and punctuality standards.

Responsabilidades

• Manage insurance verification and authorization processes
• Provide billing status updates during weekly billing review meetings
• Complete required reports accurately and within established timeframes
• Submit required Medicaid documentation, including hospice election notifications, attestations, and addendums
• Verify patient eligibility monthly to confirm continued coverage and identify policy changes
• Submit recurring authorization requests timely to prevent gaps in authorized services
• Perform daily billing audits and resolve billing hold errors promptly and efficiently
• Maintain accurate billing records and files
• Respond to requests and concerns from internal and external stakeholders
• Maintain knowledge of regulatory and financial requirements related to hospice billing
• Participate in applicable meetings, training, and in-services
• Perform other duties as assigned
