Job summary

Operations Council seeks a Chief Operating Officer Affiliate (COO) to lead and coordinate regional medical practices and ancillary services on James Island, SC. The role is hands-on, focusing on operational excellence, financial stewardship, and program implementation while aligning with the organization's mission and values.

The COO will collaborate with physicians and managers, drive efficiency, and ensure regulatory compliance, staff development, and high-quality patient care across all sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field.
• 5-7 years senior leadership experience.
• Effective working knowledge of healthcare financial management.
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and third-party payer guidelines.
• Ability to lead and develop staff and maintain confidentiality.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Establishes goals, objectives, policies and procedures for operational areas.
• Oversees operational responsibility for clinical and ancillary services through staff.
• Reviews financial performance with physicians and tracks KPIs.
• Works with HR to resolve employee performance issues.
• Leads internal management team and supports strategic objectives.
• Identifies and pursues care center and ancillary services growth opportunities.
• Ensures regulatory compliance and maintains HIPAA protections.
