Job summary

Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead the hospital's non-nursing operations and execute strategic initiatives across service lines. The role collaborates with the CEO, CFO, and senior leaders to ensure financial sustainability, regulatory compliance, and excellent patient care outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field.
• MBA or MHA preferred.
• 7-9 years of progressive healthcare leadership experience.
• 3-5 years in operational or executive-level management with responsibility for multiple departments or service lines.
• Prior experience overseeing multiple hospital departments or service lines preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee non-nursing departments for high-quality service and cost-effectiveness.
• Collaborate with the CEO and CFO on strategic plans and financial goals.
• Drive process improvements to enhance throughput and utilization.
• Partner with CEO on business development and service line expansion.
• Support medical staff relationships and physician engagement.
• Review department performance metrics and drive improvements.
• Coach and mentor department leaders to build leadership capacity.
• Participate in budgeting and capital planning.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and accreditation standards.
• Attend executive meetings and board presentations.
