Job summary

The LIBRE Initiative is seeking a Regional Field Manager (Grassroots Engagement Director) to recruit and mobilize grassroots leaders in the Harrisburg Tri-County area, driving policy reforms aligned with LIBRE principles.

You will identify activists, organize events, and coordinate volunteers while staying connected with LIBRE staff and AFP priority initiatives. Strong Spanish/English fluency and prior advocacy experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Fluency in Spanish and English.
• Experience in grassroots advocacy, community organization, and/or political campaigns.
• Volunteer or staff supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Identify activists in the state who can become leaders and motivate them to advocate for change.
• Equip local leaders to advocate consistent with LIBRE principles by connecting them to LIBRE training and resources.
• Organize events to engage the public through calls, social media, and in-person conversations; innovate to educate on policy issues.
• Maintain regular contact with activists to keep them motivated, educated, and active.
• Manage part-time canvassing contractors, ensuring time management, legal compliance, and best practices.
